Panasonic HDC-TM90 Review

by John McGraw on June 1, 2011

Best Camcorders Under $600 - Panasonic HDC-TM90The HDC-TM90 (or HDC-TM90K) is a remarkably good camcorder, especially considering it’s current price at under $500. The primary reason we rank this camcorder first in it’s price class is that it provides the finest picture quality. Colors are vibrant and accurately reproduced, images are sharp and crystal clear. Another outstanding feature is the 40x zoom which provides remarkably smooth video assisted by the excellent image stabilization of this camcorder.

The HDC-TM90K has an excellent feature list, it is 3D capable with the separate purchase of a 3D conversion lens. Very unusual for a camcorder at this price, it can shoot in progressive mode, which records twice the image data of the much more commonly used interlace method, resulting in video with exceptional detail and color. Progressive mode is also excellent for shooting action shots. It has 16GB of flash memory built in and includes a SDXC/SDHC/SD Memory Card slot.   [click to continue…]
